SCHOOL FOR GIRLS: The Gr. 3/4 girls have been learning about forces of gravity in science. To give their lessons context and meaning, they created contraptions that would protect an egg from breaking after a more than 2 story drop. The girls used materials like cotton balls, sponges and styrofoam to cushion their egg on impact. They also considered materials to slow down the assent such as balloons, or parachutes made from shower caps, bubble wrap and plastic bags. They were all very Resourceful and creative in developing their projects and we are very happy to report that all the eggs survived the plument from the High School balcony intact!
