ANNOUNCING New Campus

ANNOUNCING New Campus

We are excited to share a significant facilities update that supports both near-term growth and long-term vision.

  • Richmond Campus
Richmond will continue to provide an excellent home to North Point School for Boys, Grades K–6, and remains an ideal environment for our elementary boys program.
  • NEW – University Innovation Quarter (UIQ) Campus
We are very excited to announce that beginning in the 2026–27 school year, Currie Campus students will have a new home.  North Point University Innovation Quarter (UIQ) Campus will be located immediately north of the University of Calgary in the former STEM School space, located in the Alastair Ross Technology Building, Suite 110A & Suite 150, 3553 31 St NW, Calgary, AB T2L 2K7. This location, just 12 minutes from our Richmond campus, doubles the size of our space and will house our 7-9 Boys’ School, Co-ed High School, and K-9 Girls’ School. There is a large green field across the parking lot for students to safely play and socialize and there is access to a grocery store and take away food options located right across Crowchild Trail over the walking overpass – much closer than the  Marda Loop location our students currently walk to. There is easy access off of Crowchild Trail, with lots of room for drop-off and pick-up. City bus stops and the Brentwood LRT are both in very close proximity to our building – less than a 5 minute walk. The building is part of the University Innovation Quarter (UIQ), just North of the University main campus.
Curiosity Sparks a sense of Wonder

“We are incredibly excited to relocate our Currie Campus to the Alastair Ross Technology Centre and deepen our partnership with the University of Calgary. The proximity to a world-class post-secondary campus allows us to unite K–12 education with post-secondary innovation, enhancing our experiential and relational approach to learning. In addition, being part of University Innovation Quarter is a powerful opportunity that aligns well with our integrated STEM programming. At North Point Schools, we believe that a culture of hands-on exploration sparks curiosity and empowers students to reach their full potential as life-long learners. We look forward to building relationships in and around the innovation district.”

– Kim Pirie, Founder of North Point Schools

This move from Currie Campus provides us with:

  • Purpose-fit learning space
  • Proximity to post-secondary and innovation environments
  • Stability through a long-term facility arrangement, while we continue planning for our future permanent campus

The construction around the Currie campus, the elimination of the majority of our green/play spaces and a shift from a 5-year lease option to a year-to-year lease all contributed to our need to find a new location.

Bus routes will be adjusted to accommodate this new location, and we will share detailed transportation information well in advance of the school year.

“University Innovation Quarter is designed to be a place where ideas are born, tested and scaled. Welcoming North Point Schools to UIQ is a meaningful step forward in building a future-focused environment. With a strong foundation grounded in STEM education, entrepreneurship, creativity and real-world problem-solving, North Point is an ideal addition to UIQ’s innovation ecosystem.”

– Novy Cheema, President and CEO for UCPG (University of Calgary Properties Group)

The arrival of North Point at UIQ represents a generational investment in Calgary’s future. A Grade 3 student curious about robotics or a high school learner passionate about health sciences and business will not simply study theory; they will grow up in an environment that teaches them what is possible for the future.
