North Point’s Young Entrepreneurs Annual Business Fair returned to the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex on May 24th — and it was our biggest event yet. Over 170 students set up and ran their own small businesses, showcasing an incredible range of creativity, initiative, and hard work.
This year’s Fair coincided with a hockey tournament and a classic car auction at the venue, bringing in an even larger crowd and creating a lively, high-energy atmosphere. The extra foot traffic gave our student vendors valuable real-world experience in customer service, marketing, and managing sales.
From homemade treats and handcrafted goods to games, services, and original products, our young entrepreneurs showcased the spirit of entrepreneurship we work to foster at North Point. Many students earned hundreds of dollars in sales, but more importantly, they demonstrated confidence, gained valuable experience, and took pride in their businesses.
The event also caught the attention of the media. North Point students were featured in the Calgary Herald and interviewed on CTV Morning Live, where they shared their business ideas and experiences with a wider audience.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our generous sponsors, whose support made this opportunity possible:
Gold Sponsors: Barrel Oil, Kidco Construction Ltd.
Silver Sponsors: Mawer, Alvarez & Marsal Canada, OneJanitorial, Westcor Construction, LIAN Corporation, Remova
Bronze Sponsors: Elite Diversified, Enbridge, The LaForge Family, The Mugford Family
Thank you to all the families, teachers, staff, and guests who came out to support our young entrepreneurs. And thank you to photographer and videographer Yenny Lucia for helping us capture the event.
