Outdoor Mini-Retreat

SCHOOL FOR BOYS: The Gr. 8 & 9 boys spent Monday and Tuesday in the mountains for a mini-retreat and Outdoor Education experience. They stayed one night at the Mosquito Creek wilderness hostel and the deep, fresh snow was the perfect backdrop for two days full of adventures! They hiked from the Lake Louise townsite to the chateau, saw the ice sculptures and witnessed a bobcat chasing it’s prey. Back at the hostel they made food and fires, soaked in the outdoor sauna and jumped in the creek afterwards. They played board games and cards, and drank hot chocolate. To add to the adventure, they had to dig out the school van which got stuck in the hostel parking lot. Oh, and it wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the candy store in Banff.
